We can handle time-consuming recoveries from uninsured parties. Either monthly payment plans or lump sum settlements. We handle the negotiations, paperwork, billing and collection. Payment plan disbursements are made to client companies each quarter.
If your company does not utilize a dedicated subrogation unit then referring files to us frees up front-line staff to better investigate new losses. Additionally, you will not have subrogation files going unworked. In some cases, having front-line casualty adjusters handle their own subrogation recovery does not lead to proper recoveries. Subrogation files sit because they can’t (and shouldn’t) take priority over new claims. It takes somebody who does not face the same new file and contact time frames to handle subrogation files. That is where Great Northern Subrogation can help. We have the time, experience and skills needed to keep subrogation recovery the priority.
If your company does have its own subrogation unit then we can help you better utilize your staff’s time. Referring the more complex or time- consuming files to us allows your subrogation unit to be more efficient. We believe the best use of your in-house subrogation unit is for them to handle the files with the shortest life span. This allows you to earn more in interest by getting the most money back in the company coffers in the least amount of time.
Great Northern Subrogation is a subrogation only company. We are not a collection agency that decided to open a subrogation unit to work for insurance carriers. Our only focus is subrogation so you can be sure that all of our time and efforts go into collecting subrogation dollars from at-fault parties or their carriers.
We can conduct closed file reviews to check for any missed subrogation opportunities. We will then pursue any opportunities that we find for you. There is no charge for this service unless we collect money back.
We can handle all aspects of arbitration files. We have a flat fee for answering respondent arbitrations and handle applicant arbitrations on a contingency fee basis. Make sure to ask to us about our “Arbitration Challenge.”
We do not require you to complete a time-consuming cover sheet. If your current subrogation vendor needs a cover sheet to determine how much was paid, what the negligence factors are, and who owes the money then you might want to reconsider them. Our staff will review all the information you send. We prefer to have a copy of your entire file so we can review everything. We don’t want to work off a cover sheet. Saving our time is not the priority, recovering your money is the priority!
